But I'm Getting Better!

Hey guys!
How's it going? Good to hear.
Hmmm... Sunday night...
Kim (my older sister) had a party last night! Tonnes of fun! I actually knew most of the people there, surprisingly.
Just listened to The Strombo Show. Also, tonnes of fun... George says Edmonton is his second favorite team! We finally got him to the dark side! Ok, yeah, I know, I'm evil...
Sorry all my blog titles are from Holy Grail lately, it's just alot easier to find suitable titles from that movie from the series itself. I've used a couple from The Life Of Brian, but not much else.
Meh, school tomorrow.
I have Under Pressure stuck in my head... the original Queen/Bowie one, not any of those crap knock-off pop band ones. I'm just saying.
Anyway, I'd better go.
See ya later!

Camelot!

AHHH!!!
cbc.ca/thehour is my homepage, and so I'm just waiting for google or whatever to load, and I'm reading over the people under 'blog tracker', and I see the line 'Becky, on the lack of Strombo.com'. At first I just think 'hey cool, someone named Becky', and then I realized that I wrote a blog about Strombo.com! I'm a link under blog tracker!!! Cool!!!
Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know! Ooh I'm excited!
Ok, breathe in, breathe out...

We're knights of the Round Table, we dance whenever able.

Hey guys!
I had a pretty good day.
Guess who's on Ellen? Robin Williams! I LOVE him, he's hilarious! If you haven't seen 'Patch Adams' go get it now, it's SO sad/funny!
Anyway, he's back on from commercial, better go!
See ya!

He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways, brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin.

Hello!
Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately, but I was really sick last weekend, so much so that I couldn't go to school yesterday (and, no, for all you Strombo show fans out there, I was not sleeping).
ANYWAY, what's new? Good, good...
I have a bit of homework, but not too much.
Hey in French class today, we had to write animal poems... here's one of my REALLY bad Giraffe haikus (translated, of course, that's why it's not in Haiku format of 5,7,5, but in French it is):
"He eats the trees
His silhouette in the sky
Very long tongue"
Isn't that great? Ok, stupid is a better word, you're right.
Well I'd better go!
See ya later!

Public baths!

So... How are you? Good!
Today Tony wasn't on Ellen... Spinderealla was... I thought that he wasn't supposed to leave for six weeks! C'est Dommage.
Weekend! Yes! Homework! Ouch!
The Oilers are playing Detroit... I say they'll lose. For the sake of my dad and George, whenever anyone talks about it I say "Go Habs!". Although I guess I should root for good old Deadmonton... we're the underdog.
Anyway, better go!

Yeah, first offence.

Hello!
Day before yesterday on The Hour they played a REALLY cool song some guy had made up by taking George's voice and putting to music. His name was Kelly, but I missed his last name, so if you know, well... please let me know! PLEASE!!! Thank you! Some one else took a bunch of Bush (#43) speeches and made it so he was sing 'Imagine'. They put it with a bunch pics of destruction Bush has caused. How appropriate.
I haven't seen The Hour tonight because of Brian Mulroney recieving an award for greenest PM.
Now let me say this, my parents/siblings aren't the biggest fans of Mulroney, but listening to his speech, I agreed with alot of what he had to say about the U.S., and the environment, he was taking a pretty good approach. He was also not taking himself too seriously, and was quite funny (speaking of funny, Rick Mercer was in the audience). I think, considering that I want to be a journalist, that I should keep an open mind and not automatically assume that what my parents believe is always what I should believe. Don't worry, though, this doesn't I'm suddenly ultra conservative. I just want to give people the benefit of the doubt, because that's the fair thing to do.
Anyway, gotta go!

Now look here, my good man-- (a tribute)

I apoligize for my lack of postings... I've been busy.
MY DAD'S BIRTHDAY TODAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Some sad news... RMR's season is over, and Tony's leaving Ellen. So sad.
So, a tribute to the two men, one will be back, the other, not so much. Tear.
P.S. Sorry about the sucky layout... Rick has his blog at blogger.com, too!

Oh, what a give-away. Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about. Did you see him repressing me? You saw it, didn't you?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Strombo.com STILL isn't up and running! George, by the way, said he'd have it done two weeks ago...sigh. Well like the current page says, hey, stuff happens.
Don't you love how my title is longer than my blog entry itself?
I didn't really have room in my last entry, but to do with that list, they gave honourable mention to a couple people... Lewis Black (from the always wonderful 'Daily Show'... Jon Stewart ROCKS! Brokeback Senate... teehee...), Eddie Murphy, Steve Martin, David Cross, and Dane Cook.
Ok, gotta go! (well at least my blog entry is A LITTLE longer!)

Well, this is a temperate zone.

Hello!
Hope you had a good Easter/Spring Holiday! I did! (Mmmm... chocolate!) Last night The Strombo Show was on... funny stuff!
They had a pre-taped show, so they could have Easter off, so instead of their usual current events stuff, they had a whole show devoted to the 'Top Ten Comedians (Stand up) Of All Time As Picked By Bob And George As Of This Week' ( apparently they didn't want to be commited beyond this week). Anyway, because I love you, I shall put down that list...
'Top Ten Comedians (Stand Up) Of All Time As Picked By Bob And George As Of This Week'
10. Jerry Seinfeld (Obviously one of my faves!)
9. Bill Cosby (Whom I also like.)
8. Chris Rock (Okay, 'Everybody Hates Chris' is HILARIOUS! If you haven't already, check it out.)
7. Eddie Izzard (He was pretty funny from the sounds of it... very Python-esque.)
6. Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean, but NOT for Mr. Bean, for his STAND UP!)
5. Bob Newhart (Ok, do I even have to say anything? No.)
4. Mitch Hedburg (Apparently Bob didn't want this guy on the list, but George adores him, so he's on it anyway.)
3. Lenny Bruce (Funny, funny man!)
2. Richard Pryor (DUH!)
1. George Carlin (Whom my mother adores.)
Apparently, without knowing it, they picked the same top 3 as the comedy network. Freakish!
Anyway, this is getting REALLY long...
See ya!

We are now... no longer the Knights Who Say 'Ni'.

Update!
I was just reading on the net, and I have a correction...
Feist was not born in Calgary, but in Amherst, Nova Scotia. She was just RAISED in Regina and Calgary. So there you go, I thought I'd just let you know.
Still, the fact that she EVER lived anywhere NEAR Edmonton is VERY cool.
I'm glad I straightened things out between us.
See ya!
P.S. I am SO weird!

We are looking for a shrubbery...

Hiya!
Wow, talking like Royce there... not that there's anything wrong with that! Sorry, Seinfeld moment (Royce isn't, though, I just said that cause it fit with what I was saying... we're good? Okay? Okay).
ANYWAY... I couldn't find the webpage that George showed on The Hour (about the hockey), or at least the one I did find didn't have any info about anything on it yet...Hmmm... I guess I'll check tomorrow.
Went swimming avec Jay. Lots of fun!
I have Feist stuck in my head, like I always do... not that there's anything wrong with that! Sorry... I love Seinfeld!
Anyway... gotta go!

We interrupt this program to annoy you and make things generally irritating.

Hello again.
Because of the excess of photos on my blog recently, I have decided to lay off on them for awhile...
I wonder if George's team won their hockey game yesterday... Hmmm...
Well, I think I'm going to check now.
See Ya!
P.S. Do you like my new fishslapping photo? Yeah, me too.

Friday, April 14, 2006

It was just getting interesting.

Hello again!
I decided to put that picture of Goerge before I forgot... isn't it great? I think it is... James Dean's got nothing on George! Anyway... I have to go (I was supposed to get off after my last post!).
Bye!

Are you saying 'ni' to that old woman?

Well, I was I was going to put my new fave pic of George, but I thought that I would put a pic of Feist on instead, for I just found out she's from Calgary! She's an Albertan! Funky!
Next post I'll put the picture of George on... It's a REALLY good picture!
Well... I kinda have to go...
See Ya!

Wednesday, April 12, 2006

Well, you have to know these things when you're a king, you know.

Hello!
Guess who's on Ellen! David Spade! Funny, funny man!
Next is a fire walker and Ne-yo... hmmm... I think David is coolest.
Ouch, I have a headache...
Well, se ya!

It IS the rabbit!

RMR was SO funny last night!!!! I love the Holiday Inn commercial, but the RMR spoof is WAY better... check it out at www.cbc.ca/mercerreport.
All's well in Becky land... I just had the last day of school for 5 days!!!! Yay!!!
Going shopping with Sheilagh, Gill, Paulina, and maybe Vi tomorrow! Fun Fun!
I think 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' is more of a classic movie than 'Forrest Gump', but Sheilagh disagrees... Thoughts anyone???
Anyway... gotta go!

...And that my liege, is how we know the earth to be banana shaped.

Hey guys!
How are you?
Went to school today, not too much to catch up...
RMR's on tonight!!! It was really stupid in Toronto... The Hour and RMR were on at th same time. Obviously I watched The Hour, but still...
Anywho...
Well I'd better go...
The signal for Ellen has gone... hmmm...
See Ya!

3 is the number thou shalt count.

Anyway, so I REALLY need to work on my L.A. homework... I'm writing a piece about all the cool (and often strange) people I met at the hostel in T.O.
I should really do that now.
Alrighty then, lets get to it!

It's only a model...

Back again.
I checked out my e-mail and found out that my good friend SheShe (nickname) has a blog now, too. It's www.sheshe01.blogspot.ca. Are we good? Good. I just thought I'd share that with you.
See ya later!

But I'm not dead yet!

Hey everybody!!
I'm back from Montreal and the always wonderful land of T.O.! Sorry I didn't blog while I was there, but I didn't have much access to the net...
I discovered my new favourite thing... "The Strombo Show". Yes, I know, it's a miracle! In Toronto and in Montreal, George has HIS OWN RADIO SHOW!!!!!!!! I know!!! Unforunately, you can not pick up the station (CFRB 1010) in Edmonton, but you can listen to it over the net! Rejoice! In Edmonton it's on from 7 to 9. Happy times!
Anyway, I have to go back to school tomorrow, and I have some homework to catch up on... sigh.
Farewell for now!
