Ah, the good old days!

Ok, so to consider Barbara B's feelings (and my sanity), this post is just a little bit about The One. I just wanted to show you something that I found while deleting all the stupid spam I got just now (therefore the word verification, please forgive me!)...

"George was once asked by a fan if he would replace Anderson if say god forbid Anderson died or something and George said in effect. No. He would not work for CNN or any American Station for that matter. he would rather work in the UK."

That was a comment Barbara W left on my blog in the beginning of June.
George was asked recently asked if he would replace Larry King, and he said he would, as long as he didn't have to wear suspenders.
Oh, how naive we were... tear.

I almost crapped myself when George made that suspenders comment. I mean, fabulous, somebody please replace Larry King, but don't let it be George!!

LOL...me too. I hadn't heard that first comment made, only the last...that's really disappointing

Re Georges quote about replacing Anderson Cooper, He also said he would not report in the rain let alone a hurricane...

I think he likes to joke about this with his audience don't you think.

You're right, Larry King does need to be replaced!
Sigh... disappointing indeed. :(
Sorry Barbara. Just a note, Barbara's comment was longer than that, and it did include the hurricane quote (which made me giggle), but I figured he was serious up until then...

Oh you are so sweet to consider my feelings...

I guess in all fairness, the quote that Barbara W left you probably referred to working permanently in the US, and of course The Crappy One is just a short stint. So we are told.

Teehee Barbara, you sound like my father and I... we have our little father-daughter "Coincidence? I think not!" thing... we are conspricy theorists, if you will.

I do agree that it was probably about a more permanent gig, but the whole not working for any American station part kinda bugs me... I guess you could say I'm losing faith fast :p

I'm sorry that you are sick of all the talk about the One. I would have loved to have something else to say about anything else that had to do with George and the Hour. There just isn't anything recent at the moment.
Awk! And I can't think about George working more frequently in the US, b/c it makes my head spin...not quite "exorcsist" style but almost.
I was going to say "cheer up...there is only so many weeks until the Hour is back". And then I actually counted. It's 11 weeks and 2 days and that is kinda depressing.

Thanks for at least trying to find something other that The One to talk about (to do with George)... I've given up :p (It's tricky!)
Georgie dearest in the U.S. more often? The thought makes me feel sad. Let's hope it'll never happen. We have to show him how great his Canuck fans are, eh?
And although it's depressing, your comment about actually counting make me giggle... :D
