I love civil disobedience

I got an old copy of Adbusters from the library the other day... I grew up with them lying around the house, but I'd never really picked one up and read it thoroughly. So that's what I did. My favorite part?
A sticker some on posted on a pump in a San Francisco gas station that read:

Stop your engine.

No smoking.

Return nozzle to pump when finished fueling.

Pre-pay after dark.

Thank you for financing global terror.

Classic.

Oh very nice. That is so satisfying, innit?

It was... it wasn't so satisfying when I read it to someone only to get the feedback that they "didn't get it", but I do love everything it expresses in such simple terms.

Really? They didn't get it? Somebody needs to read to newspaper I think.

Love it! You might like the "movie" Crude Impact (www.crudeimpact.com) it's about the oil industry and it shows how it's linked with wars and such

I agree, Barb. It was disappointing, but hopefully they'll watch some actual news someday (instead of the crappy city news).

Thanks Evelyne, I'll check that out!
