I was watching the news yesterday and saw a piece about Canadian Cpl. Michael Seeley who, at the age of 27, was killed in Iraq. He was supposed to go home Saturday.
They talked to his mother and something she said really moved me. She said she understood that her son was fighting for what he believed in, and that the insurgents where fighting for what they believed in.
What she said was so touching. She saw beyond the "good and bad guys" and "us against them" that plagues our societies. We're all humans raised to believe certain things, and this woman, going through one of the most horrible times in her life could see what most people can't.

What that woman said is so true, we are fighting for what we thing is right but it is only a question of education, of what we believe in... thanks for sharing that Becky!
